We are John, Wendy & Jordan.

Thank you for viewing our profile. We are a family who loves spending lots of time together and having lots of fun. We were thrilled when we adopted Jordan four years ago and we would love to add to our family once again through adoption. We have an abundance of love to give and can’t wait to share this with your child. We are very excited to introduce ourselves to you and hope our profile gives you a good understanding of who we are.

About Us

We first met in 1997 at a Def Leppard concert (perhaps that is why we still like their music) and became friends instantly. We realized that we shared a lot of the same interests from music to snow machining to camping and more. Our friendship quickly turned into love and we knew we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together. We have been married for 9 years and find that we still have a great time together and spend most of our time with each other and Jordan.

Our Family

We both come from large families and both of us are middle children. We are very close to our brothers and sisters and have lots of nieces and nephews. We are both Roman Catholic and try to attend church regularly. There was never any question that we wanted to be parents and we knew we could give a baby a wonderful, loving home. Unfortunately, we were not able to conceive a child on our own and we turned to adoption. We were thrilled in 2006 when we were chosen by a young girl to be the parents for her baby and in July 2006 Jordan was born. Love at first sight is all we can say about the moment we saw him and everyday since has been a magical experience and we feel blessed to have him in our lives.

About John

John is a very active 39-year-old. He loves being outdoors and most of our interests tend to be outside. John especially loves boating and camping and has taken up fishing, and in the winter he likes to skate and toboggan. John is the middle child in his family with an older sister and younger brother and we are very close to them and spend lots of time with his 15-year-old niece and 10 year old nephew. His brother just had a baby girl and we cannot get enough of her. John is a great dad and shares all his interests with Jordan. He is always taking him with him and teaching him new things. John owns a very successful business, which allows him to have lots of time off to spend with his family.

About Wendy

Wendy is a great mom. She spends lots of time playing and reading to Jordan and teaching him important family values. Wendy has always loved children and has always been around them her whole life, growing up with lots of younger cousins. She adores Jordan and they have a very special bond and share lots of hugs and kisses. Wendy likes to cook, read, do crafts, listen to music and travel. She works part time at the local hospital that allows her to be the main person raising Jordan. We feel it is important to be the ones to teach the values to our child.

About Jordan

Jordan is a very sweet, lovable, good-natured 4-year-old boy who would make an excellent big brother. He loves being around other kids and has friends younger and older than himself. He is very gentle when around younger kids and is very excited about having a new cousin to play with. Jordan’s favorite things are trucks and trains and he has a huge toy room filled with everything you can imagine. He loves all kinds of music and when he hears a tune that interests him, he just starts dancing. He has a guitar, keyboards and drums and he truly thinks he is a “Rock Star”. Jordan has just learned to skate this year and is looking forward to playing hockey next year. He loves spending time outdoors in his tree house, on the slide or building sandcastles on the beach.

Our Home

We live in a small town on a quiet street on Lake Superior with conservation all around us. We built our 3-bedroom house in 2001 and it is open concept with lots of room to play. We have a large backyard and the water is shallow (perfect for young children). Our house is a favourite gathering place for our families and friends and we have lots of get togethers – BBQ’s, bonfires, play dates.

Our Thoughts On Parenting And Adoption

We have always dreamed of having children, and both of us feel fortunate to have grown up with siblings. We feel children develop into great little people with lots of encouragement and love. We believe in education and being involved in sports and other activities that help build confidence. We are fortunate to be financially secure which enables our child to participate in whatever they are interested in.

We have a terrific and supportive family and would love to share this with another child. We want your child to know where they came from and would love to talk with you about what kind of relationship you would like to have.
