How long will it take for us to adopt? How many adoptions do you do? How much does an adoption cost? Is any financial assistance available? Recognizing that the costs can be an obstacle for some families, Beginnings has established an Adoption Assistance Reserve Fund. Prospective adoptive families are welcome to apply for assistance and are considered on a needs basis. You may also qualify for a designated adoption loan through the City Bank Since February 2007, there is a tax credit (up to $10,000) for adoption expenses on your income taxes. Check with an accountant or tax specialist regarding how this is applied. What do birth parents look for when choosing a couple for their baby? Do you place many babies of diverse culture and racial heritage? Do you place siblings? Older children? Do you place babies with potential physical or mental health problems? |
